Saco Bay Childrens Choir

Saco Bay Children's Choir

(SBCC) provides an opportunity for talented young singers to participate in a choral music education program of the highest quality. Children with unchanged voices, in grades 4 and up will be empowered to perform both as an individual artist and as a member of a working ensemble. SBCC offers a safe, supportive environment that encourages creative exploration and risk-taking. The voice is our most musical instrument and through singing children are able to develop confidence in their own musical abilities.

SBCC Choral Programs (Apprentice Choir & Select Choir)
The Apprentice Choir is an intermediate level choir for emerging singers to further their musicianship and begin singing in two-part harmony (ages 9-12). Choral rehearsals will include games, exercises and activities on musical concepts such as; melody, rhythm, harmony, timbre, dynamics, form, style, performance and musical skills; singing, theory and sight-reading. Musical concepts are highlighted through singing, listening and analysis.
